Pregnancy Favs + Beach Maternity Shoot

pregnancy favs 8

From dresses and stretch mark creams, to my must have pillow, and pajamas, these are a few of my pregnancy favs so far.

I’ve been very particular about what I spend my money on, because I don’t want to end up with a whole wardrobe of maternity clothes that I won’t be able to wear again (unless we are blessed with another baby.) But I wanted to share my personal pregnancy favs that I have been using for a number of months now.

Stretch Mark Creams & Oils

I’ve been using TriLastin Cream twice daily, (a.m. & p.m.) since I first found out we were pregnant, and I haven’t had a single stretch mark appear yet. As someone who is prone to stretch marks, and has some from puberty, I wish I had known about this cream as a teenager!

Throughout the day, I like to supplement moisture with Glossier’s Body Hero Oil Mist. It has quick absorption and locks in moisture. It also helps that it smells AMAZING, btw. When Pat and I are out-and-about, I prefer to bring a small bottle of Bio Oil with me – you never know when an itch will strike! Plus, this 2 oz bottle fits perfectly in my purse.

Pajamas

In the earlier part of the year, I wore the heck out of my longsleeve set. Now that the weather is warming up, I’m really loving this short sleeve pajama set. Both sets are incredibly comfortable and breathable, plus the band on the pants allow the pants to be worn below or on your bump without squeezing you and leaving marks.

Pregnancy Sleep Pillows + Sleep Lotion

Since entering the second trimester, I’ve been sleeping with a Belly Bandit side sleeper. The further along in pregnancy you go, the less you want to sleep on your back so being wedged onto my left side is perfect. I also use a knee pillow to help with knee and legs cramps.

To also help with cramps and insomnia, I use 8 Sheep Organics magnesium lotion, nightly. I like to have Pat put some on my back, but I add some to my calves, knees, and hips to offset any middle of the night cramps.

Maternity Dresses

I went to Marshalls and bought several stretchy knit dresses, but in regards to maternity dresses, I also purchased this, this, and this dress. I like these PinkBlush dresses because you can also wear them postpartum and they’ll still fit beautifully!

Support Leggings & Shorts

I’ve been experiencing a lot of back pain the last few weeks, and spoke about it with my OB. She told me to look into supportive slings, and bottoms that I can wear throughout the day. Let me tell you, this pair of Blanqi support girlshorts, and this pair of leggings work wonders! I haven’t really had the need for a sling yet, but I can feel the graduated compression under my baby bump, helping to lift some of the weight.

Pregnancy favs aside, I’m so in love with these maternity photos that Pat and I took over the weekend. We went out to Wrightsville Beach and spent some time together, which was nice! I’m sad that Pat wasn’t able to make it into any of the shots but someone had to push the buttons, haha. We might do some more and have someone help so he can join. I think the black+white photo might be my favorite of the bunch though! What is yours?

What are some of your pregnancy favs?
