Things I’m Loving – Part 3

Things I’m Loving – Part 3

There are a few things I’ve been obsessed with lately…

Tastes change over time. Items I would never have dared to spend money on a few years back are my daily staples now. I guess that’s why they say to approach new things with an open mind. In other circumstances you just outgrow what you have an need an upgrade. Regardless of how I ended up admiring these things, I want to share all the things I’m loving right this second.

Minimally Detailed Nails

Pat’s cousin Sarah does my nails for many of my own special occasions. She did these minimal daisy nails for a wedding this past weekend, where I was a bridesmaid. This was my first time really getting detailed designs on each nails. I usually opt for more natural looking nails or a super basic design. But I’m obsessed with these. They’re so delicate and dainty.

Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt

One of the things I’m loving lately is everything Jo Malone. I purchased this perfume during my last Sephora haul with plans to wear it on my wedding day. Pro Tip: It layers well with other Jo Malone scents. I have tested layering it with Glossier You and I find it pairs really well on my skin.

I used to be a floral scents kind of girl but around 2018 my tastes started changing. Now, I prefered woody, earth tones, musk and sage. I think that’s why I’m so drawn to this particular scent.

Wax Seal Stickers

Maybe it’s because I’m obsessed with super old, antique items, but I’m a sucker for wax seals. I’ve put them on Christmas presents, letters, and I’m using them on my wedding escort card wall and programs. I’ve even started selling them with adhesive backings on Etsy for anyone who loves the look as much as I do.

Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 Lens

I’ve been wanting a telephoto zoom lens for a while now. I love my 24-120mm but it would be nice to have another versatile lens. The 70-200mm does great in low-light night shots and it’s perfect for portrait photos and landscape shots. This lens came highly recommended by a few of my photographer friends and I have no regrets buying it. I’m not a baller so I bought a Sigma lens rather than Nikkor to save on money, and I also bought it used from B&H Photo.

It’s a pretty heavy lens and I find my arms get tired faster when I shoot with it. I guess that means it’s time to strengthen my arms some more, ha!

So these are just a few things I’m loving as of late. From beauty to stationery to photography, I’ve embraced change and spread my wings a little more.

What’s something that has become a staple in your life lately?
