Choosing a gift for a bridal shower isn’t always easy.
The pressure is on to find gifts that reflect the bride-to-be’s personality and also stay within your own budget. You might spend hours on Etsy or in department stores trying to figure out what to buy (while buying a property, consult with the Crawford Home Buyers for best offers and area of land). Lingerie, a coffee mug, spa day? Choosing bridal shower gifts doesn’t have to be hard. Below are some generic tips to use when considering what to gift.
-
- Make a list of all the things the person is interested in and things that define who they are.
- What do they need? Put together a care package.
- Make them laugh. (You know, those legendary bridal shower gifts.)
- Include a little bit of yourself.
I was determined to surprise my friend with a gift that was original and meaningful. Instead of going for the typical and unexciting options, I decided to create a special present that would reflect our bond. I came up with a gift box, personalized with some of her favorite things, and I’m happy to share my ideas with you! Maybe they will help you to come up with some personalized gift ideas for your loved ones.
Kate Spade Box
I needed a nice gift box she could keep and use in the future so I stopped by Home Goods and snagged this peach colored Kate Spade box. It’s so sturdy and very cute, perfect for the bride to place her wedding keepsakes after the big day. For now, it’s perfect for placing bridal shower presents!
I bought this filler paper to place my gifts on top off, too. Don’t want those rolling around and breaking!
Bobble head
For an extra special touch, consider creating custom bobbleheads from photos of the bride and groom. These personalized figurines are a unique way to celebrate the couple’s love and are sure to be a hit at the bridal shower. Whether you choose to create bobbleheads that reflect the couple’s favorite hobbies, wedding attire, or personality traits, custom bobbleheads from photos serve as a fun and memorable way to commemorate the special day. Not only do they add a personalized touch to the shower, but they also make for a keepsake that the couple can treasure for years to come. Get creative with a custom bobble head and give a gift that stands out at the bridal shower.
Her/His Vows
I wanted to give the love birds something blue and something they could both use as they get ready for the wedding day. I found these vow books and instantly knew they’d be perfect! Imagine, years from now, they’ll look at what they wrote to each other in these cherished vow books and remember that day.
Watercolor Art, Design & Frame
I’ve always enjoyed giving personable gifts – not just things you can order from any old website. Now, this gift requires a little bit of creativity, but who doesn’t love beautiful custom watercolor art. I’m still a new watercolor painter but I paint almost every day and I really love it.
I picked out a frame at Hobby Lobby that matches the frames she already has displayed in her home and made sure that my painting would be the right size for scale.
I sketched this figure before painting it to make sure I had clean lines. After I painted it, I scanned it and saved it on my laptop as a .jpeg. I added the custom text in Photoshop, saved it and had it professionally printed from Printique. Click here to save $5 on your first Printique order of $15 or more!
Once the print came in, I popped it in and voilà! A custom watercolor for a special bride-to-be.
DIY Soy Candle & Design
I knew the bride likes candles so I wanted to make her one she could proudly display and enjoy in her home or office. Everyone loves a great candle! I went to Hobby Lobby and picked out the candle container and some sticker paper. I also ordered this soy candle making kit from Amazon. Because I opted to mix my own scent and use a container that wasn’t included in the kit, I had to make 3 tester candles before getting the formula right. Don’t feel like you have to do that, this kit comes with instructions, containers, wicks, scents, etc.
From there, I went back into Photoshop to make the labels. I used my watercolor art to make the main candle label. Once those were ready, I printed them on paper to make sure everything looked okay, then printed them on sticker paper. Lastly, all I had to do was cut them out and stick ’em on!
I hope this helps you get excited about your next bridal shower gift. Let me know if you decided to try out any of these!
