You’re engaged and looking for the perfect bridesmaid proposal box. Which should you choose?
I was looking all over the interwebs for a proposal box that would work. I kept finding boxes that we’re super cute but expensive, or cheap and underwhelming. Nothing was really clicking for me, plus I have a bridesman in my bridal party and none of these boxes would work for him. I wanted all my bridesmaid proposal boxes to be personal and special. So what did I do? I made my own lol. Are you surprised?
Things You’ll Need For The Box:
-
- White Magnetic Closure Boxes
- Cardstock Paper + Sticker Paper + Printer
- White Crinkle Paper
Proposal Labels
I asked my future sister-in-law make clear stickers for each of my boxes using her fancy new cricut machine. She customized the font with me and they came out so cute!! If you don’t have one of those cricut machines, invest in sticker paper or have your bridesmaid proposal questions printed on cardstock!
I also made proposal cards with handwritten notes on the back, and I created a “What’s In the Box” card detailing all the gifts they got and how to use them.
DIY Candles
I’ve talked about DIY-ing candles before and it’s honestly so easy. Get yourself started with a candle-making kit and you’ll have your own hand-poured candles in no time! I also purchased sticker paper and did some quick design work on Canva. I purchased the glasses from my local arts + crafts store.
Note: These 8 oz. candles are too big to fit inside the boxes I linked above. You may want to wrap these in white tissue paper if you want to dress it up inside a mailing box.
Self Care
Facial sheet masks are the perfect gift for everyone. I have been stocking up on masks from Target and Sokoglam but you can find amazing sheet masks almost anywhere. If you prefer to shop in-store, you can check out Target, Ulta, Sephora, and Marshalls. If you are in-store shopping, be safe and make sure you are complying with your state’s mandatory health regulations.
While shopping, I found some discontinued bridesmaid hair-ties. They happened to have exactly 5 left plus a bride hair tie, so I included those in my ladies bridesmaid proposal boxes as well. You can also find similar ones on Etsy! (similar here, here, and here.)
R+R
Bath salts are also a great way to elevate your rest and relaxation time. Purchase a large container or a variety of bath salts, and divide them up into smaller jars. Using Canva, create a small label and print them on sticker paper! Dress up the jars with some ribbon et voilà!
You can sometimes find interesting gifts on Amazon like these rose petal bath soaps. All my bridesmaids got 2 to add a slight rose scent to the box and spruce up their next bath soak.
Snacktime
All of my friends have a sweet tooth and I wanted to include something in the bridesmaid proposal boxes they could snack on. I opted for champagne gummy bears but you can do whatever candy/snack variety you think your bridesmaids/men may like! I purchased mini treat bags and divided the gummies up myself. Close off the bag with some ribbon to complete the look. I made sure to save myself a few gummy bears. 😉
Just for the Bridesman
Since my bridesman isn’t getting the ribbon hair tie, I opted to get him something more his style. Here are some cute and fun ideas for the bridesman in your life.
Just for the ‘MOH’
Did you know that traditionally the Maid of Honor is the most powerful person in the wedding party (after the bride of course)? She hold more influence than even the Best Man! Well, don’t tell my sister that – JK. I wanted to get her something extra special for being my MOH and this sweater was the perfect addition to her Bridesmaid Proposal box.
Note: Keep in mind, this sweater is definitely to big to fit in the boxes I linked at the beginning of this post!
