Hey there! Since I relaunched my blog, I haven’t taken the time to re-introduce myself to you all! My name is Genevieve and this is my creative space. I started Blue Augustine about three years ago, but back then, I was still in college and unsure about what I wanted to talk about in my blog. Something things never changed though; my love for Fashion, Beauty, Makeup, Travel and Photography have been constant.
In order to get to know me, I wanted to tell you 23 things about me in a Q&A format.
1. What is your favorite color?
My favorite color is blue. I’m also a sucker for teal.
2. If you had to describe yourself in five words, what would they be?
Hopeful, Caring, Creative, Inspired, Reflective.
3. If you weren’t working in the job you have now, what would you do?
My dream job is to be a full-time blogger and content curator. I love social media and how it can really connect people who would, otherwise, never meet, so I would want to be able to keep that aspect of my job.
4. Cats or Dogs?
Dogs, I love dogs. I do like cats, but I am just more of a dog person.
5. Funniest moment throughout School?
Well, I don’t have one moment that stands out, but when I was in Middle School, I started getting into make-up. At that time, I would ‘borrow’ my mom’s foundation and use that on my face. Mind you, my mom is Filipino and has olive skin. I’m half Filipino and half English/Irish and take after my dad, so I am as pale as it gets. My face was pretty orange when I looked in the mirror, but back then I thought that it was just a healthy glow. Ha! Thinking back on it now, I wish I could go back and tell myself not to go through that Oompa-Loompa phase.
6. What is your Favorite drink?
That’s hard to say. I’m not a big alcohol fan, although I do enjoy Riesling Wine. My favorite non-alcoholic drink is French Lavendar Lemonade.
7. What is your favorite animal?
I love wolves, but Lions are really cool too!
8. What is your favorite perfume?
Coco Chanel Mademoiselle.
9. Favorite Makeup Brand?
Right now, it’s a toss-up between Tarte and Nars.
10. What Sports do you play/Have you played?
I ran track in middle school and high school until I got injured.
11. What is your favorite book?
The Great Gatsby
12. Who are some of your favorite YouTubers?
I have been following Anna Akana, Claire Marshall and Nicol Concilio since they started on Youtube. I absolutely love them!

13. What is your favorite movie?
Moonstruck, starring Cher and Nicholas Cage, is my favorite movie of all time. Some Like It Hot is a close second.
14. What’s your idea of an ideal first date?
A nice dinner (nothing fancy), followed by ice cream, a walk in the park, and a genuine conversation.

15. Favorite memory from childhood?
Dancing around the house with my sister just being silly.
16. Do you speak any different languages and how well?
I wish I did. My mom speaks Visayan, Tagalog and English, but she wasn’t sure which Filipino language to teach me so she just taught me English. I took a lot of French too, so I can understand basics, but all I can speak is English.
17. Do you have any siblings?
I have one younger sister.
18. How would you describe your fashion sense?
When it comes to fashion, I really like a lot of things. I’d like to think I my fashion sense is unique. I love neutral colors, metallics, but will wear pastels and other colors. I love flowy dresses that still cling to my body in just the right way. But I also don’t dress up all the time. When I am home, I wear lounge clothes. As far as seasons for fashion goes, I really love the Fall and Spring seasons because the weather really allows me to dress to my full potential.

20. What are some of your favorite tv shows?
Friends! Ally McBeal! (But I also love watching crime shows like, CSI, Law and Order SVU, Criminal Minds, NCIS.)

21. PC or mac?
I’ve grown up with PC and never had a Mac, but I do want a Macbook Pro someday soon.
22. What phone do you have? (iOS v Android?)
My favorite phone of all time was the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, but I dropped that phone in a waterfall so I ended up with the iPhone 7 Plus. I love the cameras on the phone. They’re pretty awesome!
23. Tell us one of your bad habits!
I used to be really bad about washing my face at night when I was tired or feeling lazy, but I purchased Banila Co.’s Clean It Zero deep makeup cleanser and it’s been so much fun to clean my face now. I never forget to remove my makeup!
