Jingle Bells: 3 Different Ways

Jingle Bells: 3 Different Ways

I can’t really explain it, but I’m really into vintage Christmas bells this year.

They give me an old school Christmas vibe, and you know me, I love old things. There’s a reason why I mostly listen to Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole Christmas songs this time of year. With that said, I wanted to share a few of my own home decor ideas using these and these cute jingle bells. I did add a bit of metallic acrylic paint to each bell to give it more of an antique bronze look.

Wall Hanging

I update my wall hanging every spring, summer, fall, and winter. After Thanksgiving, I added some pine to it to make it more Christmas-y. I’m still not sure if I am crazy about this design. I think I prefer the mini wreaths over the staggered branches. What do you guys think? To me, this gives me more of a scandinavian vibe versus a classic Christmas. But I do love the string of bells spanning the width of the wall hanging. Those, for sure, have to stay.

Napkin Rings

We haven’t actually hosted Thanksgiving or Christmas at our house yet, but now that we are married, maybe that will change! I wanted to have some holiday napkin rings for that occasion. These jingle bells really add a little holiday flair to the dinner table. I used some seasonal greenery wire  and twisted it into 3 napkin ring-sized loops. Then I put the bells on the wire and twisted the ends together to close the gap.

Now, all I want to do is host Christmas but Pat’s family is massive so this fancy table setting wouldn’t work for all of us. I’m just itching for a chance to have a fancy Christmas dinner at home.

Door Knob Hangers

I love the look of these jingle bell door knob hangers – I have them on most of the doors in my house now. Pat suggested adding a red ribbon to them, which I am definitely planning on doing! The one of the front door has a cute little jingle as we come and go from the house. It also adds a bit of festive-ness to the areas of the home that aren’t decorated for Christmas. I think this is a great minimal way to decorate for the holidays. All you need is some twine, faux pine sprigs, wire cutters (if needed for wire sprigs), and the bells!

What do you think of these DIY ideas?
