The length of my Christmas wishlist has continued to diminish over the years.
When I was a little girl, my Christmas wishlist was maybe 15 lines deep. I’d wish for things like CDs, DVDs, headphones, rollerblades, sleds, Razor scooters…I was a little ridic. Now, my wishlist is short and sweet! There are just a few things that I want waiting under my tree this year.
Nest Thermostat
Yeah, okay, I know. I’m weirdddd. I just hate the old thermostat in my house for many reasons, namely that half of the buttons don’t even work. It’s time for an upgrade. Let’s be honest, I’m probably just going to buy this sucker for myself, haha! Nevertheless, it’s still at the top of my Christmas wishlist.
Skincare Goodies
You have to take care of your skin – this involves eating habits, drinking water, and a skin care routine. With that said, I have had the pleasure of trying out many different brands but there is one that I frequently reach for over others: Glossier. As soon as they announced their Black Friday sale, I was all over it. My Christmas gift to myself arrived over the weekend and I tore into it immediately.
I also bought myself the Summer Fridays mask trio from Sephora! Naturally, I couldn’t resist and opened it right away. I have only used them a few times now but I really like ’em so far.
Planters
I have somehow managed to kill almost all my plants – cuz clearly I have no clue what I am doing. Plants are one of those elements that make a house a home. I recently found similarly styled planters at Home Goods ($10 btw – what a steal!) and I am obsessed with finding beautiful tough-to-kill plants for indoors. Are planters a weird thing to have on my Christmas wishlist?
Candles
If you talked to Pat, he might tell you that I have a candle problem. I love candles…and have MANY. So I probably don’t need more, but I have never had a fancy candle. I typically get the higher-end candles from Target or I find scents I like at good ol’ Home Goods (can you tell I am obsessed with that store?) I’ve seen friends with Diptyque and Homesick candles and I’ve been experiencing some serious FOMO.
What’s on your Christmas list this year?
