What’s In My Bag

What’s In My Bag

I’ve added quite a few new goodies into the mix lately.

Moisturizer

With the weather warming up, I only use my Glossier Priming Moisturizer Rich before bed. In the morning, I moisturize with Korres Pomegranate Balancing Cream-Gel. I got this small version as a Beauty Insider reward and immediately fell in love. Normally, I don’t like putting scented products on my face but this has never irritated my skin in any way and doesn’t make my skin overly oily throughout the day. For my no-makeup days, I keep this baby in my bag for some as-needed application.

Foundation

I tried that Instagram foundation that swept across the interwebs like wildfire; Il Makiage in shade 040 Woke Up Like This. My previous foundation, Too Face Born This Way was causing minor breakouts. Don’t get me wrong, I still love the stuff, but my skin needed a break. The coverage on the Il Makiage foundation stuff is amazing, although it has a tendency to move around on the skin. I always make sure to pack my favorite setting spray to keep my face looking fresh all day. I’ll also keep it in my bag, in case I need to reapply.

Setting Spray

You are probably thinking, “how the hell does she expect me to believe that giant bottle of Urban Decay setting spray fits into that bag?” I don’t. I left my small travel sized version in a drawer at work. Grr. Luckily, I stock up on this stuff because it’s the best freaking setting spray I’ve ever used. It’s definitely a ride or die for me.

Highlight & Mascara

Recently, my Ipsy bag subscription introduced me to OFRA’s Star Island highlighter. It’s not an overly bold highlight but it does give you a nice shine throughout the day. Now that I work in an office, I need a more subtle highlight. I still use my Glossier mascara – it’s easy to remove when I wash my face and doesn’t stick to my eyelashes like glue. It’s still water resistant, but ‘waterproof’ mascara isn’t my daily go-to anymore either. I carry my mascara in my bag for any additional application, should I find myself needed to build it up for a night out with the guys.

Hand Sanitizer Spray

I also purchased the super trendy Touchland hand sanitizer spray. Actually, I bought the entire line lol. I gave some as gifts to family and friends, but I also kept some for me because everyone knows I get sick easily, and when I get sick, it lasts forever. It’s good to have hand sanitizer readily available, even better when it doesn’t dry out your skin and smells exactly as advertised! I keep one in my bag at all times, one in my car, and one at my desk. Perhaps it’s overkill…but I don’t care because I love the stuff!

What should I try next? Let me know in the comments!
